Monday's Musings

During Scott Walker's address at the Ronald Reagan Library, he stated that the pension plan for Wisconsin is fully funded, the only one in the country. PolitiFact rated it as a true claim.  This should get Republicans excited for Walker, again. Not that they need much reason.

Meanwhile, 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio sends out a confusing tweet.

As always, great information from FactCheck.  The CBO reports that the fiscal cliff deal will increase deficits by $4.6 trillion over the next 10 years comparing to actually allowing all the tax deals to expire.

At Five Thirty-Eight, Micah Cohen points out that Speaker Boehner's struggles with retaining his position is historic and makes a comparison to Newt Gingrich.  Five Thirty-Eight has been fantastic this year.
